Lound Village Hall would like to move forward to applying for a grant for a more sustainable form of Electricity
The committee are considering a range of options for improvements before applying for a grant and need to provide information as to how these changes would benefit the community . Your comments would be most helpful as to how we can improve the Facilities (Hall, Green, Allotment Area) and Availability of the Village Hall to the local community We would like to close the consultation by April 23rd.
Thank you for your contribution!

Lound Village Hall is lovely setting. To maintain its use it would be sensible to consider reducing its carbon footprint making it cheaper to hire and open it to more users.
~Miles Thomasthe hall and green area is a lovely meeting place and quiet place for all villages etc. to use and hire out to keep these cost down and improve the carbon foot print and keep costs down and invite all villagers a meeting place
~garry robert smithThe village hall and green are both unique spaces to be enjoyed by everyone. If the costs can be kept to a minimum by installing an energy efficient energy system it will create a more affordable rental space and be more environmentally friendly.
~Louise AustinThe village hall is a great facility. It is warm, bright and spacious with very clean kitchen and toilet facilities. I have rented it on numerous occasions, and found the arrangements and assistance first class. It would benefit greatly from solar panels to help with the overheads, and would provides an example to the community of the committee's awareness of climate issues and it's desire to improve the environment for the benefit of all.
~neil austinHall is fine, heating is good. A new wooden floor for dancing would be wonderful-but realistically too dear to do!
~Brian FaulknerI have been using the Hall for Craft for 20 years, it has everything you need, the kitchen is well equipped.
I also use it for day workshops with a visiting tutor.
We have had birthday parties with a disco. It seats 60 comfortably with tables and room to dance.
We have had a car show on the Green once a year which has a very good turnout. Overall its a great venue.
I have been using Lound Village hall since Summer last year for my monthly drum circles and sound healing events. I love the space as it has all the facilities needed. The outdoor space could be developed-some picnic tables and perhaps an overhead 'shelter' of some sort. so can hold outdoor gatherings when it is warm but raining. A purpose build BBQ area? This would encourage more patronage, not only for the village occupants bit folk who visit( I only live in Bradwell myself) to enjoy the village more.
*Overhead Shelter/ BBQ space.
* Picnic Table Area.
* Bench or two around the Green(maybe a few Picnic Tables on the edge of the Green)
The hall provides a warm space with kitchen, toilets and - key for our computer group - wi-fi & printer. With the hire fee having gone up in recent years, measures to keep it down such as solar panels or similar are very welcome.
~Paul DouchA lovely field to sit in the summer but please leave the chain down as it doesn't look welcoming when you have it up
